Automotive
In the automotive world, new technologies are emerging and gradually leading us on the path to automated driving. In order to maintain safety and security, automotive standards are constantly being updated. Manufacturers are obliged to meet every current requirements so that vehicles can be certified and approved. In this context, the certified specialists in functional safety, automotive safety and intelligent systems at ROSAS ensure a high quality service through their extensive knowledge of the field and their expertise in current standards and simulation-based testing methods.

Functional safety
We support companies throughout their analyses according to ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF) standards. We offer solutions for the validation and verification of a vehicle on hardware and software levels.
Focus of expertise
- Interim Safety Managers
- Safety analysis such as HARA, FME(D)A, FTA, etc.
- Safety mechanism designs
- Support to generate safety cases and work products
- Verification by simulation
- Intacs Provisional Assessors for ASPICE implementation and evaluation
Téléopération
ROSAS has developed the first concept of remotely operated vehicle in Switzerland, in partnership with the country's major transport companies (SBB, PostAuto, Ruag, TPF, etc.). This solution can now be implemented on vehicles and robots.
Focus of expertise
- Advice on the commercial applications of teleoperation
- Study on social acceptability
- Advice on the number of teleoperators required
- Training of teleoperators
- Ergonomics of the teleoperation centre
- Advice on the necessary infrastructure and software
Autonomous vehicles and infrastructures
We support the development of autonomous vehicles, i.e. object perception, localisation and route planning using algorithms through the following means and services.
Focus of expertise
- SwissMoves : an interdisciplinary working group that develops mobility
- Digital Twin: simulation of a given environment and its critical scenarios
- Road Side Unit and On-Board Unit : to study and simulate V2I communication
- System modeling: requirements verification, simulation of scenarios and prediction of physical behaviors
- Simulation and verification: physical verification by simulation, accelerating the development of new systems and optimization
- A teleoperation centre and two teleoperated vehicles
Simulation of autonomous vehicles
In order to ensure the safety and security of autonomous or remotely operated vehicles, one of the most effective approaches is to simulate the systems. In this respect, we carry out various activities.
Focus of expertise
- The simulation of scenarios through a database containing all accidents in Switzerland since 1992
- The simulation of the different ADAS sensors and of the algorithms developed for autonomous vehicles
- The use of Model-Based Engineering to carry out a Top-Down simulation of the V2I communication
