Chemical Analysis Unit

Established in 2004, the Chemical Analysis Unit at the School of Engineering and Architecture of Fribourg performs research activities and analytical services for internal projects as well as for industrial partners.

As part of the ChemTech research institute, the Chemical Analysis Unit provides key services within the framework of the institute’s research axes. The unit’s areas of expertise include:

• development of analytical methods (e.g.: GC-MS, HPLC-MS)
• product characterization (e.g.: NMR, RAMAN, DSC, TGA, rheology, SEM)
• implementation of environmental analysis (e.g.: metals, anions, cations)

Thanks to a diversified range of analytical equipment and to its experienced research team, the Chemical Analysis Unit is able to meet the analytical needs of all types of projects and applications.
